Light Cone
Dec 2014
This was an experimental project. At the time, I was working with other team members on researching a fun, location-based social app for connecting with strangers.
Upon entering the app, it would retrieve the user's location, gyroscope, and compass information and generate a 'chat request' on the map. This request was represented by a red cone of light originating from the current location and extending in the direction of the phone's camera. Users could see rotating light cone in their surroundings through the phone's camera preview, using the cone's size to estimate the approximate distance to other users. After two users aimed their cones at each other for 3 seconds, the app would establish an anonymous chat.

My 1st startup project is this Android agenda app for anime funs, I designed and developed it in college with friends.
I found all agenda apps have the same boring design - text, tables and list. However our target user only want to check and get notified when his/her subscribed animation is ready to watch.
So when all the calendar Apps go grid and horizontal, I decided to use a vertical layout instead.
Automobile HMI
Oct 2011
This is one of my very 1st interaction design project in college. Although it looks amateur today, I always found the idea of using multi-touch control and colorful visual feedbacks very interesting, also I recognize this as a starting point for my design innovations. So even after years, I still decide to keep it in my portfolio.
By using different amount of fingers, combined with gestures and colorful GUIs, this design offers the driver to control A/C, music, lights via a simple tap or swipe. It offerss full gesture control, different visual and audio feedbacks for each individual features, so the driver stay focus on the road.
